Creativity, the Fuel of Development

26th March 2019 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Curiosity, Creativity and Critical Thinking – Day Two with Alice Sharp

This day is centred around the work and thinking of Bruce Perry. He considers the traits of creativity to be: Sensitivity to Problems; Fluency of thinking; Flexibility of thinking; Originality; Redefinition; Elaboration; Tolerance of ambiguity; Commitment and Risk taking.

How do we the ‘leaders’, ‘partners’ or ‘players’ in the learning experience help shape the thinking of our children? How do we support these traits of creativity?

This day will consider the range of experiences we offer our children through all different types of play including:

• Symbolic Play

• Rough and Tumble Play

• Socio-dramatic Play

• Social Play

• Dramatic Play

• Exploratory Play

• Fantasy Play

• Imaginative Play

Delegates will explore a wide range of practical ideas to ensure the creative process is not just limited to ‘art’ but it is in numeracy, writing, stem subjects and the creative arts.

Delegates can book both days of this course for £200 + VAT or each day as a stand alone for £120 + VAT.

This course has been approved for SDS ITA funding.  For more information and to apply for your account click here https://www.myworldofwork.co.uk/learn-and-train/sds-individual-training-accounts-ita
