Playfulness to promote Literacy and Numeracy with Marie Richardson

For practitioners working with children birth to five years
Catching the essence of children’s thinking and learning can be difficult. This practical session will offer delegates
opportunity to observe, explore and reflect on how certain resources, artefacts and environments can be used to draw
out literacy and numeracy outcomes.
Sand and Water, Construction, Stories, Mud, Puzzles and Games all have a huge amount to offer our children when being spontaneous. However, learning moments are often missed if the adults are not tuned in to play. Delegates will leave with
new skills and techniques ready to enhance their practice.
This course will be held 1-4pm and 5-8pm
